Advanced training on Climate Change Curriculum in Thailand

USAID LEAF’s objectives is to strengthen human and institutional capacity to implement climate change mitigation efforts in the forestry-land use sector. To meet this objective, USAID LEAF has been working with 14 universities from six countries (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea) on Regional Climate Change Curriculum Development.  USAID LEAF's curriculum development work is part of the joint efforts among regional universities under the U.S. Government’s Lower Mekong Initiative to build capacity of a future cadre of climate change professionals who can effectively engage in low emissions development planning.

Having been engaged in USAID LEAF’s Regional Climate Change Curriculum Development, Kasetsart University, Chiang Mai University and University of Phayao are now equipped with necessary know-how to replicate the package of curriculum materials to many more universities and other concerned stakeholders in Thailand.
