Forest Monitoring Uncertainties & Degradation Monitoring Options

13 November 2012

This document is a combination of presentations from the LEAF-USFS Synthesis Workshop on Options for Monitoring Forest Degradation at Sub-National Levels in the Mekong, held from 13-14 November 2012 in Bangkok.

The presentations from this particular session examine monitoring methods and their expected statistical uncertainties, and also examine views from options assessments on approaches to monitoring forest degradation. These issues were presented by Michael Kohl of the Institute for World Forestry, Chip Scott and Rick Turner of the USFS, and Kiyono Yoshiyuki from FFPRI.
