Scoping Study of Good Practices for Strengthening Women's Inclusion in Forest and Other Natural Resource Management Sectors

This report provides identifies enabling factors, and subsequent dialogues, to provide actors responsible for REDD+ design and implementation with suggestions for practical entry points for inclusion of women in forest and natural resource management. It is a product of a joint regional initiative which began in 2012 in response to the need to identify practical entry points for women’s inclusion in Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+). The initiative is comprised of Women Organizing for Change in Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (WOCAN), The United Nations Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation in developing countries (UN-REDD) Programme, and USAID LEAF.
