USAID LEAF is currently implementing activities in six countries in the Asia-Pacific region: Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Thailand and Vietnam. Within these countries, we are working in four major landscapes to develop low emissions development strategies focused on the forestry and land use sector:
- Madang Province, Papua New Guinea;
- Lam Dong Province, Vietnam;
- Houaphan Province, Laos and
- Mae Sa-Kog Ma Man and the Biosphere Reserve, Thailand.
We also engage with technical experts and government officials from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Nepal and the Philippines to share lessons learned and identify best practices.
The project’s main office is in Bangkok, Thailand, with field offices in Chiang Mai, Thailand; Vientiane and Houaphan, Laos; Hanoi, Vietnam; and Port Moresby and Madang, Papua New Guinea.
